Visitors and Fauna’s Friends

This is the second part of a two-part series, which will cover all of the visitors in the cities of Travel Crush. Some of them are nice and others are naughty. They’re more than just inanimate blockers and will actively try and impede your victory as you level through the cities.

If you would like to see the other types of blockers in Travel Crush, check out Obstacles in Travel Crush Part 1

Fauna’s Furry Pals

One of the Locals has friends who want to play a frustrating game of Hide n Seek, Fauna has brought them to the cities and it’s up to you to find them.

Hide n Seek

Fauna’s Friends will be in levels with a furry friend on top of the level icon. You’ll have to break the Frames to find her friends, but if you find them and there are still connected Frames, they will scurry away back into hiding. So get ready: 1, 2, 3, here I come, ready or not!

Obstacles Hide n Seek
Bet you can’t find me!
Frames

Completely break a Frame with a Furry Friend in it with no connected Frames and you’ve won at Hide n Seek. The number of hits needed to completely break a Frame depends on how many layers of Frames there are in one spot.

Meet Fauna’s Friends

Meet a new furry pal as you travel through the cities. You can find the schedule when new friends will come and visit you by clicking on the Furry Pal icon at the top right of the map screen.  These are the cutest obstacles you’ll find!

Lumpy, a playful pug

Purl, the furry feline

Fuzzy, the bouncing bunny

Percy, the pompous panda

Yackers, a boisterous bird

Squishy, the porky pig

Hide n Seek Champions

Have you met all of Fauna’s Friends yet?

Other Animal Obstacles

You’ll find other visitors in each city who are labeled with footprints on the level icon. If you click into the level, but before you start, you can see which critter will be present on the board.

Beehive

Match near a Beehive to send Bees out to a random tile on the board. When there are a sufficient number of Bees to meet your Goal, the Beehives will close up. They will remain on the board when closed.

Bees

Match near Bees or use a Power-up Combo to break nearby tiles and these buzzing bees will fly off the board. Bees can be swapped with a tile to make a match and will drop down when there is space below.

Macaw

These colorful birds start as spotted Eggs and once broken they will fly to a random spot on the board. From there you need to make a match nearby or hit them with a Power-up to send them flying on their way. Macaws can be swapped with tiles to make a match and will drop down on the board when there is a cleared space below.

Eggs

Macaw Eggs have blue spots and you’ll have to break the shell twice to free the birds. Eggs won’t move anywhere until the Macaws are set free. Then they will disappear from the board and you can move on to getting the birds.

Mama Hen

Mama Hen is guarding her Eggs and Chicks closely, and she won’t move until she lays her Eggs. Make a match nearby or hit them with a Power-up and 3 Eggs will appear in the same spot.

Eggs

A group of 3 eggs is laid by Mama Hens on the board. They won’t move until you crack them open by making a match nearby or hitting them with a Power-up or Combo. Then 3 Chicks will hatch and fly to random spots on the board.

Chicks

These cute Chicks laid from Mama Hen’s Eggs can be removed by making a match nearby or hitting them with a Power-up or Combo. They can be swapped with tiles to make a match and will drop down when there is a space cleared underneath them. Then the fowl will fly away!

Cute Fact: The names of these Chicks are Tic, Tac, and Toe! ADORBS!

Mr. Mango

When you make a match nearby or hit Mr. Mango with a Power-up or Combo, he will throw a Banana in a fit of rage! When he runs out of Bananas he will flee from the board, but he will remain in the same spot until he does so.

Bananas

Bananas thrown by Mr. Mango can be removed from the board by making a match nearby or hitting them with a Power-up or Combo. They will move down if a space underneath is cleared and they can be swapped with a tile to make a match.

Mr. Mole

Just like in real life, these malicious mammals will pop up out of their hiding spots in the ground. To lure them from their tunnels, make a match nearby and then make a match again to remove them from the board. The matches have to be in consecutive turns otherwise they will scurry away. Time for a game of Whack-a-Mole!

Sheep

Levels with Wool Balls as a part of the Goal will have Sheep running amok on the board! Well, that’s a bit of an exaggeration since they sit in one spot, but they will produce a Wool Ball when you match near them or hit them with a Power-up. Two Wool Balls and they scoot on off the board.

For best results, use Power-ups or Combos to blast a group of Sheep and collect a lot of Wool Balls at once!

Skunk

Our foul-smelling friend is here to HELP you remove tiles and Obstacles on the board! Their skunk spray will target objects that are needed to help complete your Goal as well as blockers that might hinder your progress. Pepe Le Pew might be stinky but he is helpful (you might not get this reference if you’re under 30!)

Match tiles or hit the Skunk with a Power-up and watch him shoot skunk spray at the board.

Uncle Toad

Who let the Flies out? Uncle Toad has overindulged, yet again and it’s up to you to free the Flies. Make a match near Uncle Toad or hit him with a Power-up or a Combo and he will regurgitate the insects until he feels better. Only then will he hop off the board.

SOUND ON: You can hear Uncle Toad snoring and burping as you play if you find that kind of thing funny, be sure to turn up the volume!

Octopus

Frozen in place, these sea creatures can be freed by breaking the ice holding them. It is important to note that you need to match the SAME color of tiles as the Octopus inside so you can crack through the ice.

  • The number of times you need to crack the ice is equal to the number of squares on the board that the cube occupies.
    • For example, a 2×2 cube would need to be cracked 4 times, a 3×3 cube 9 times, etc.
  • The number of hits on a cube is determined by how many squares are affected by either the match or the Power-up that hits the cube.
    • Such as running a Rocket across a 3×3 will hit three squares and 3 cracks will appear. Matching nearby but only 2 tiles are touching the cube and 2 cracks will appear.

Honorable Mention

Didi the Monkey is up to no good, but you can utilize his thieving ways by sending him out to steal Gems from other players. In turn, he will give you double the amount of Gold for your completed level!

Didi the Blocker
Didi, the Pickpocketer

Seek revenge on players who have sent him your way to steal gems, by changing the player that he will target. Maybe they’ll leave you alone or maybe they’ll come back for more! Maybe this makes YOU the obstacle in another player’s game?

Obstacle Objectives

  • Whenever one of these creatures is on your board, it won’t always mean that they are the means to complete the level. Check your Goals up on top before starting to break tiles so you’re not caught off guard when you run out of moves.
  • Most of the time it will be whatever object the animals toss around that will be one of the level Goals.
  • TIP: When there is an item or animal that casts another item, work on those first until you have enough to complete your Goal. Oftentimes, the action of producing the items needed will remove them from the board since breaking tiles will create other matches above!

Conclusion

Those are all the blockers that have been found in the different cities in Travel Crush (so far)! Some of the trickiest of the bunch are found in the Obstacles in Travel Crush Part 1, like Ticking Bombs and Sand, but you can’t count out the ones found in this guide since they require a little more work to get rid of. All but the Skunk is going to work against you, but with a little determination you’ll make it through! No obstacle will stand in your way.
