Guide to Paris

The first city you land in is Paris, France. This city will have the easiest levels so you can learn your way through Travel Crush. Don’t forget to check out the Tripstagram content to see some amazing content about the City of Love!

Paris, City of Light

If you’ve ever been to Paris, France, you’ll know that the nickname City of Light doesn’t do it any justice. The city just glows with all of the bright attractions all around. Since there is a lot of history to this European city, you’ll find a lot of old churches, statues, and even fountains all lit up and shining brightly throughout the night.

Then you have the Eiffel Tower which shines like a beacon and is adorned with thousands of lights. It’s one of the most recognizable buildings in the world.

The True Story

However, Paris didn’t first get the nickname ‘City of Light’ from any of those. It was in fact Louis the Great (King Louis XIV) who wanted to reclaim the city from lawbreakers by lighting up every corner of Paris, thus making it safer for the citizens. Lanterns were placed and people were asked to light candles and oil lamps from their windows.

Starting Paris (Tutorial)

When you first start in Travel Crush, there is an intro where Archibald, a retired world explorer, is distressed about the sad state of the world. Instead of polluting the world, travel through it responsibly! Next, you are introduced to Elie and Fennac, who will be your guides through the cities of the world as you discover new sights and experiences.

Fun Fact: If you would like to watch the Intro again, you can go into the Settings and click the Watch Intro button.

Level 0

Before you even start level 1, there is Level 0, which shows you the simplest move, to match 3 tiles together. This is also the first time you will come across a Tripstagram!

HINT: Engage with Tripstagram posts by liking and sharing for rewards. You can do this every 8 hours, not just in Paris!

The Basics

The first few levels in the city of Paris will teach you the basics of gameplay, like how to match tiles and make Power-ups.

  • Rocket: Match 4 tiles in a line! Vertically for a side to side Rocket and Horizontally for an up and down Rocket.
Rocket Pattern

Rockets will destroy tiles in a straight line.

  • Bomb: Match 5 tiles in a T-shape or L-shape to make a Bomb.

Bombs will destroy a square of tiles 5×5 around the Bomb.

  • Bolt: Match 5 tiles in a line to make a Bolt.

Bolts will remove all tiles that are identical to the one that it’s swapped with.

Detour With Locals, Paris Edition

After most levels that end in 5, you will have an additional Quest, which is Detour with the Locals. In these levels, you will need to drop Souvenirs to the bottom of the board to free them.

You will earn 10 gems for each Parisian Local that you help!

HINT: Souvenirs can be swapped with other tiles to make a match!

Take the time to view the Paris Tripstagram page for each Local to get your likes and shares for rewards.

Here are the Locals you will meet in Paris:

Pepper, the Chef

Henri, the Artiste

Haute, the Fashionista

Fauna, the Naturalist

Norman, the YouTuber

Marcel, the Culturalist

Pepsi, the Popstar

Coach, the Athlete

Napoleon, the Historian

Wonders of Paris

Every 10th Level in Paris is a Wonder, which requires you to drop Souvenirs down to the bottom to free them. Take the chance to replay levels so you can collect the Silver and Gold coins needed to restore the Wonders for VIP!

These are the Wonders of Paris:

  • 10 – Louvre
  • 20 – Notre Dame
  • 30 – Moulin Rouge
  • 40 – Alps
  • 50 – Arc of Triumph
  • 60 – Paris Metro
  • 70 – Pantheon
  • 80 – Center Pompidou
  • 90 – Flavors of Paris
  • 100 – Eiffel Tower

What’s in the City of Paris Levels?

As you stroll through the bright streets of Paris, you will find tricky obstacles, cunning characters, and treacherous terrain at each level. Some of these will be a part of your Goal to complete levels so pay attention to what each requirement is. Here is what you will find in the first 100 levels:

Blockers

TIP: ‘Nearby’ or ‘near’ means that one of the tiles has to be touching that item.

Balloons
  • Pop Balloons by using Power-ups or matching near them.
  • Balloons can be swapped with a tile to make a tile match and will drop when tiles below them are cleared.
Bananas

See Mr. Mango

Beehive
  • Match near a Beehive and it will send a Bee to a random square on the board. Match near the Bees to send them on their way! Beehives will produce Bees with every hit until there are enough Bees on the board to meet your Goal, then the Beehives will close up. You can also use Power-ups to activate a Beehive or remove Bees.
  • Beehives will remain stationary but Bees can be swapped with a tile to make a match and will move down when a space below becomes available.
Bees

See Beehive

Chains
  • Tiles that are locked under Chains can be unlocked by making a match with them. However, they are stuck in place until they are unlocked, so you will have to move other tiles to match them. Alternatively, Power-ups can be used to remove Chains from tiles that fall in their path.
  • One Chain needs to be matched once, but tiles with 2 Chains will need to be matched twice to unlock them.
Chicks

See Mama Hen

Crates
  • Use Power-ups or simply match near Crates to break them and make more room for tiles.
  • These cannot be moved.
Rainbow-Colored Crates
  • Just like the original, you need to match next to the Crates to break them, however, the tiles need to match the color of these special Crates. Power-ups can also be used to break Colored Crates. There is also a Bolted variety of these Crates.
Bolted Crates
  • Crates with one slab across them are Bolted Crates and need two hits to break them.
Double Bolted Crates
  • Two slabs across a Crate need three hits to break and remove them from the level.
Eggs

See Mama Hen or Macaw

Grass
  • Match tiles or use Power-ups to “mow” the grass and clear it.
  • Tiles are placed on top of Grass and can be moved over it.
Hide n Seek
  • Flora’s Fauna will hide in frames in the Hide n Seek levels. Match tiles by the animals or frames to break the hiding spots. However, they will move to a connected, undestroyed hiding spot when caught!
  • *Single frames need to be broken once while double frames need to be broken twice.
  • The animals can’t jump to another frame if there is a space between their hiding spot and another frame. Break nearby frames to keep them in one spot.

HINT: These levels will have a Furry Friend on the level icon.

Ivy

  • You will get a sneak peek of the tiles on the board before Ivy covers it up. Match near the Ivy to remove it and reveal the hiding tiles beneath it.
  • Ivy cannot be moved on the board.
Macaw
  • Spotted Eggs hold these colorful birds! Hit an Egg once to crack it, then again to release the Macaw, which will fly to a random tile. Match next to the Macaw to send it flying off the board.
  • Both eggs and Macaws can be swapped with a tile to make a match and will fall into an empty spot that is cleared below.
Mama Hen
  • This Obstacle has three levels that you will have to contend with. Match tiles near Mama Hen and she will lay a batch of Eggs. Then match near the Eggs and they will hatch into three Chicks that will spawn randomly on the board.
  • Mama Hen and Eggs will not move from their spot on the board, but the baby Chicks can be swapped with a tile to make a match.

Fun Fact: The baby Chicks names are Tic, Tac, and Toe!

Mr. Mango
  • This playful primate will throw a Banana on a random tile every time you match tiles nearby up to 4 times. Then, you’ll have to match tiles near a Banana to remove it from the board.
  • Mr. Mango will stay in one spot until after he throws 4 Bananas, after which he will run away. However, Bananas can be swapped with a tile to make a tile match.
Mr. Mole
  • It’s a good ole game of Whack-a-Mole! Match tiles near Mr. Mole’s hiding spots to lure him out. However, if you don’t match near him while he’s looking around, he will burrow back into hiding, then you will have to start again! Tricky, tricky creature…
  • Mr. Mole and his tunnels won’t move until he is removed from the board, then the tile becomes usable.
Octopus
  • Free the Octopus by matching the same color tiles next to them. When they’re free, they will then blow a kiss in thanks and go away.
  • These sea creatures are a bit more difficult when they’re bigger!
  • The number of hits each Octopus requires is determined by how many tiles it occupies on the board!
  • However, each tile that is touching the square around the Octopus will count as a “hit”. Additionally, Power-ups will get multiple hits, such as a Rocket that travels across will count as 3, a Bomb will count for however many tiles its blast radius covers, and a Bolt will hit for as many of the colors that it removes are touching the Octopus’ square.
    Clear as mud?
  • Octopus will not move from their spots and they can’t be swapped with a tile.
Portals
  • Just like Travel Crush takes you to another place, Portals will do the same with your tiles! Portals are color-coded and clearing tiles below a Portal will pull tiles from the same color Portal elsewhere on the board.
  • Use this to your advantage and clear blockers away from under Portals to get things moving.
Sheep
  • Shear the Sheep by matching tiles near them. Each Sheep can be sheared twice to gather the Wool Balls.
  • Sheep cannot be swapped with another tile, but they will move off the board after being Sheared twice.
Skunk
  • These foul-smelling animals will spray tiles on your board to remove them, but don’t count them as enemies because they will blast the tiles you need to complete your Goal! Thank you, silly skunks!
  • Match near Skunks and they will hit tiles to help you complete the level!
  • Skunks cannot be moved while on your board.
Watermelon
  • Slice Watermelon up to 3 times and remove them off the board. There are 3 stages of Watermelon – Full, three-quarters, and half. After the Watermelon gets to a half piece, it only needs one more hit to remove it completely. Match nearby or use Power-ups to slice the Watermelon.
  • Watermelon can be swapped with a tile to make a match and will move down the board if spaces below it are cleared.
